About Us

Five James Foundation is 501 (c)(3) non profit founded in the memory of my five loved ones who have gone on to be with the Lord. William James White, Jr. (my spouse); William James White, III ( son); William James White, IV (grandson) Jordan James White (grandson) & James Dwaine Zellous (nephew). This is God's ministry to widows & to grant an annual scholarship to anyone attending an accredited college/university. The purpose of this website is for you to be able to read more about Five James Foundation and God's mission/purpose/plan for His glory to impact the lives of those He loves.

The book of James in the Bible speaks strongly about the care of widows as noted in the below Scripture.  The book of James has five chapters, there are five widows in Kenya currently being care for through Five James Foundation, I have lost five loved ones.  I don't believe it is all a coincidence.  He has used this ministry not only to care for widows, women and orphans but to minister to me as I continue to walk through the valley of the shadow of death; knowing He is right here with me.

Below is a picture of the five widows, left to right, Naomi, Shiro, (a friend of the five widows), me, Mary, Jacinta and Monica, from Kenya.  They are the entrepreneurs who started with nothing but now have a means of supporting themselves and those in the community by providing eggs from the chicken farm and vegetables.

They are truly amazing women and have overcome hardship through the help of our Lord through Five James Foundation.

God has truly been good to these women and the Five James Foundation.  It is quite evident that this is His ministry and not mine.  To God be the glory.  What an honor to serve Him as His hands and feet to the least of these.

There is still so much work to be done through this Foundation.  God continues to reveal the need of widows right here in Pittsburgh.  I believe He will cast his net to other countries.
